House of Cards Review

House of Cards is a hit series that was produced by Netflix and started airing on their streaming service in 2013. It’s an adaptation of the the 1990 British mini-series of the same name. The show goes into what goes in the back alleys of the political scene and exposes the what goes behind the scenes from the facade shown to the public.

The show is set based on a congressman Frank Underwood, a democrat from South Carolina and House Majority Whip. The congressman has great ambitions and follows an elaborate plan to reach his goals of finding his way to the White House with the help of his wife Claire Underwood. Frank is portrayed as a ruthless, manipulative and devious politician that always finds his way to put his intricate plan in motion and gain power no matter what the cost is.

The show has received lots of critical acclaim and numerous awards which we can primarily attribute to the outstanding performance of Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright. Kevin Spacey’s acting is a masterpiece that left a mark in today’s acting scene with no doubt.
